How much does a solar system cost in Ghana?
Our systems run from GHS 14,700 for a 1KVA setup covering lights and small loads, up to GHS 423,750 for a 50KVA industrial system. Every price on this page includes professional installation. A typical family home usually lands between a 4.2KVA and 6.2KVA system. The exact figure depends on what you run and for how long — the solar calculator works your size out in about a minute.
How long does a solar system take to pay for itself?
It depends on how much you currently spend with ECG: the higher your bill, the faster the payback, because you are replacing more expensive units. Our calculator works out your own payback period from your bill or your appliance list, alongside the yearly saving and the ten-year cost of staying on the grid instead.
Will solar run my air conditioner, pressing iron and washing machine?
Yes, provided the inverter is sized for those loads. Heavy appliances draw a lot at once — an iron around 1,200W, an air conditioner around 1,200W — so they need a larger inverter and battery than lights and fans alone. Tell the calculator what you want to run and it sizes the system around exactly those appliances.
Will I still get an ECG bill after installing solar?
Usually yes, but a much smaller one. A hybrid system covers most of your daytime use from the panels and carries you through the evening and outages on the battery, with the grid topping up when needed. A backup-only system (inverter and battery, no panels) keeps your lights on during outages but does not reduce the bill, because it still charges from the grid.
What is included in the price?
The inverter, solar panels, battery where the package includes one, wiring, safety gear and professional installation by our own engineers. Prices can vary with site conditions — roof type, cable runs, mounting — so we confirm the final figure after a site visit.

Yes. We are based in Accra and have installed across Ghana and neighbouring countries over the past eight years. Tell us where the property is when you request your quotation and we will confirm scheduling and any travel cost.
